Super 8 by Wyndham Nebraska City

Clean comfortable room. Came in as a walk in and booked a room. The maids were still cleaning everything and in the middle of changing the sheets ! Overall very pleased with the service. Huge amounts of rv and truck parking

We had a wonderful stay at the Super 8 in Nebraska City, Percival, Iowa. After a long day of travel, we checked in late at night, and the gentleman at the front desk was so kind and accommodating—he even made sure there would be enough biscuits for breakfast the next morning. The staff here truly go above and beyond despite the challenges of ongoing renovations and past flooding. The breakfast area was clean and well-stocked, offering a good variety: two types of cereal, biscuits and gravy, a waffle maker, bagels, instant oatmeal, milk, tea, and coffee (though I did notice there wasn’t butter for the bread). Everything was tidy and organized. The lady at the front desk was also incredibly welcoming. When I gave her a compliment, she was genuinely touched since, as she mentioned, guests often focus more on complaints. It reminded me how important a little kindness can be. Our room was clean, comfortable, and smelled freshly cleaned, which I really appreciated. I slept well and felt very comfortable during my stay. Overall, I want to acknowledge the effort this team puts in despite limited resources. Their dedication, warmth, and hard work made my stay memorable. This is an excellent place to stay on a budget, and I truly appreciate the hospitality I experienced here. It’s clear that the property has faced challenges with flooding but the staff are doing their very best to keep things running smoothly without the owner present. It’s easy to overlook how much heart and hard work goes into keeping a place going when resources are limited. My experience reminded me that a little kindness goes a long way. Thank you for making my stay comfortable and for your dedication to guests! Rated 4/5 only because the property sits in a flood zone. Don’t expect a five-star luxury resort—but if you want clean rooms, friendly staff, and a safe, budget-friendly place to rest, this hotel delivers.

IT WAS CLEAN, AFFORDABLE, AND THE EMPLOYEES WHERE VERY HELPFUL. WE ARE MOVING TO FLORIDA AND ARE DRIVING A UHAUL WHEN WE WHERE HAVING TROUBLE PARKING THE GENTLEMEN AT THE FRONT DESK TOOK OVER AND PARKED IT FOR US WITHOUT US EVEN ASKING. THEY GO ABOVE AND BEYOND.

Mr. Propp (pronounced Prope!) was incredibly friendly and helpful. We checked in very late at night or early morning so he allowed us a quick bite and a late checkout so we could get a decent nights sleep. The location is good, right off the highway, near a gas station and some food. The downside to this is its a pilot and lots of semi trucks are parked there so the drivers can sleep. Many leave their trucks on and idling and you can hear this from the room. If this sort of thing bothers you, might ask for a room that opposite the truck stop. Constant noise doesn't bother me and it isn't super loud, you just know it's there. The room is better than expected for a motel. My expectations are pretty low for any motel to begin with. With that as a starting point, the room isn't bad. A little worn but fairly clean (minor staining is present such as on the chair upholstery but the room isn't dirty). The subtle smell of bleach was noticeable when I entered the room so I know they cleaned! (Its not strong or overwhelming, just enough that you know they cleaned. Its not noticeable after being in the room for a few minutes). Bed sinks in a little but this isn't the 4 seasons! Keep your expectations real for what it is and you'll realize this is quite decent at a good price with excellent and friendly service!

I wrote my review with the baseline of 2-Star hotels, and this Super 8 was excellent by that bar. Room was clean, sheets were clean and comfortable, bed was good, paint and carpet were fresh. Staff was super friendly. Minor mix-up when I checked in and they resolved it immediately. Don't come in expecting the Four Seasons, be patient with the insignificant imperfections. I will absolutely stay here again!

I would like to say the guys on night shift are beyond amazing! My wife and I had to make a emergency trip to KC for a sick family member on our journey home at 8 pm at night we ran into a tire blow out our spare was no good sapp bros said if we found a tire they would put it on . We called Walmart they had a tire but refused to sell to us, the guys here at motel 8 got on the phone calling all family and friends to try and get myself wife and our non verbal home to Omaha. They were able to get the manager at Walmart to go ahead and sell us the tire to get us the 43 miles home. Your guys generosity is beyond and my wife and I are so grateful for all your help!! A plus they even gave me a ride to Walmart to get this tire!!

This hotel is not actually that bad like I was expecting it to be. The rooms were very clean and well taking care of. The staff is very nice and assisted me with any questions that I had for them. Overall experience at this location was great.

At 8:15 am on Saturday, there wasn't much for coffee choices left for guests, both reg and decalf needed refilling. No sugar free syrup for waffles no boiled eggs so be aware you need to bring your own . The open shower rooms for handicap guestroom needs to have more than 2 guest towels to help hold back water from tile floor & bring your non skid shower shoes. Other than those things it was a nice stay.
